3. Find A Good Contractor. Do your due diligence research when looking for a home remodeler. Do a Google search on the contractor and read the Yelp reviews, Google reviews, Better Business reviews and other review websites. It is always a good idea to hire a General Contractor with a few years of experience with good reviews.

4. Be A Good Boss. Treat the contractor right throughout the process. Ask questions when necessary on any steps of the remodeling process to ensure the project goes well. It is always good to have the contractor explain what their plans are for the day and to sum up the work at the end of the day.

5. Don't Expect Perfection — Expect Quality. Try not be a distraction to the contractor in asking too many questions. The contractor knows their work. But expect quality work from the contractor. Ensure the work is done correctly.
